When I see people wandering the garden, I watch them carefully examining each distinct flower. They pause, and choose the ones that speak to them, that tug at their heart. They see the beauty woven into the petals and then they are are "picked" and gently placed, ever so carefully, into their buckets.
Their pails fill with splashes of color. Personalities instinctually match the pallet of flowers and textures seen from a distance. Some strikingly tall and full of sharp edges, some soft and gentle that calms a quiet soul.
But it's the joy I see filling their hearts, touching the quiet space that too often gets squeezed out by the business of life. But here, they area allowed to live in the moment, to breathe in peace and to linger in sweet creativity.
And this is why I'm doing this. To bring moments of joy into our lives, peace to our hearts and serenity to our souls.
